In order to understand the dynamics of the labor market and respond to the need for accurate and up-to-date labor data, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Sanggau Regency has carried out the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) in February 2024. This survey is part of ongoing efforts to monitor employment conditions , including unemployment rates, employment opportunities, and job characteristics in Sanggau Regency.
By using the Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) method, BPS Sanggau is taking a step forward in increasing the efficiency and accuracy of data collection. The FASIH application, used in the SAKERNAS survey, allows survey officers to input data directly into the electronic system during the interview. This application not only increases the speed of data collection but also reduces the possibility of data entry errors, ensuring the integrity of the data collected.
During February 2024, the Sanggau Regency BPS team will work hard to visit selected households in all sub-districts to carry out this survey. Equipped with tablets with the FASIH application installed, survey officers are ready to conduct interviews efficiently with household members, gathering important information related to their economic and employment activities. The SAKERNAS survey covers various aspects, from employment status, working hours, to the industrial sector in which they work.
The use of the CAPI method and FASIH application in the SAKERNAS survey shows the commitment of BPS Sanggau Regency to the application of technology in improving the quality of statistical data. It is hoped that the data produced from this survey will provide a clear picture of the labor market conditions in Sanggau Regency, which will be valuable information for policy makers, entrepreneurs, academics and the general public in making the right decisions.
By implementing the February 2024 SAKERNAS Survey with the FASIH application, BPS Sanggau Regency hopes to provide employment data that is more accurate, faster and relevant. This initiative is part of BPS's efforts to improve the quality of statistics in Indonesia, especially in understanding and responding to the ever-changing dynamics of the labor market. The success of this survey is highly dependent on the dedication and professionalism of field officers who use CAPI technology to obtain reliable data, supporting better policy making and development planning in Sanggau Regency.
