Updating the Directory of Businesses/Economic Enterprises at BPS Sanggau: Monitoring and Supervision

August 1, 2024 | Other Activities

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Sanggau Regency is currently undertaking a strategic activity to update the directory of businesses and economic enterprises. This process involves monitoring and supervising the enumeration to ensure the data collected is accurate and reliable.

Monitoring and Supervision: Explanation

Monitoring Updates is a verification step for the data collected by field officers. Its primary goal is to ensure that the incoming data is correct, complete, and complies with applicable regulations, thereby minimizing errors in data collection.

Supervision involves the technical guidance and support provided by supervisors to field officers. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that the enumeration is conducted according to the established procedures and standards, and for providing solutions to challenges faced by the officers during the enumeration process.

The Importance of This Activity

Updating the directory of businesses/economic enterprises is crucial because accurate and up-to-date data serves as the foundation for formulating regional economic development policies. Valid data enables local governments to devise targeted policies, enhance the efficiency of development programs, and maximize the region's economic potential.

Implementation Process

This monitoring and supervision activity involves several stages:

1. Preparation and Planning: Supervisors plan the enumeration areas, the number of required officers, and the schedule for the activities.

2. Training of Field Officers: Officers receive technical training on enumeration, the use of enumeration tools, and the procedures to be followed before going to the field.

3. Enumeration Execution: Field officers conduct the enumeration in the designated areas under strict supervision by the supervisors.

4. Data Collection and Verification: The data collected by the field officers is verified by the supervisors to ensure its accuracy.

5. Reporting Results: The results of the monitoring and supervision activities are reported and analyzed for use in regional economic development planning.

Conclusion

Through the monitoring and supervision of the enumeration activities to update the directory of businesses/economic enterprises, BPS Sanggau Regency aims to produce high-quality statistical data. This data will support more effective and efficient policy-making and contribute to better regional economic development.
