Desa Cantik Program in Sosok Village: BPS and Village Collaboration for Quality Data

On October 10, 2024, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Sanggau Regency held a Desa Cantik Program in Sosok Village, Tayan Hulu District. Desa Cantik is a flagship program of BPS, which stands for "Desa Cinta Statistik" or "Village of Statistical Awareness." The program aims to develop the National Statistical System (SSN) at the village level, in collaboration with the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (PDTT). This initiative aims to enhance the village administration's capacity to manage statistical data independently and efficiently. The Desa Cantik Program is expected to advance data management in Sosok Village, supported by technologies such as data updating applications and integration with the BPS website.

During the event, Petrus Suwandi, the head of Sosok Village, emphasized the importance of this program in advancing the village, particularly in supporting accurate statistics. In addition, several parties, including representatives from P3MD, provided insights and support for the Descan application, which is expected to improve the village's data quality.
