On October 26, 2024, Sosok Village in Tayan Hulu District hosted the Desa Cantik (Desa Cinta Statistik) program initiated by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Sanggau. This program aims to improve village data management by involving local village staff in the use of relevant applications and information technology to produce high-quality data.
The training started with an introduction to SIPODES (Village Profile Information System) to facilitate the input and updating of population data. Elton from BPS explained how to review data using spreadsheets, while Natalia stated that updated data would automatically appear on Sosok Village's website under the statistics feature.
Grujs from BPS provided guidance on data quality control to ensure that the entered data is valid and reliable. Additionally, Rado trained the village secretary, Mr. Gobin, in creating village publications, and Williansyah taught the village media operator to design content using Canva. The program also included the implementation of the WA Bot "Kawan BPS Sanggau" to provide information via WhatsApp.
The Head of Sosok Village expressed gratitude for this training, hoping that the Desa Cantik program will continue to improve the transparency and quality of village data. Through this initiative, Sosok Village is ready to become more informative and responsive to its community's needs.
